Join us for an approximately 1.5hr hour guided tour in Chelmsford.
Chelmsford is a city which is tackling head-on some of the key issues facing all cities across the UK; how do we meet the housing and infrastructure needs of a growing population? What do we want the heart of our community - high streets and city centres - to be? And how do we preserve our connections to the past while embracing change?
The walk will introduce some of the architectural landmarks and urban developments of Essex's first city and is ideal for anyone who is new to Chelmsford or simply wants to understand more about some of the everyday landmarks, newer urban developments and how Chelmsford is responding to the need for growth. The tour features:
ARU Chelmsford Campus
Marconi (New Street)
City Park West
Chelmsford Railway Station
Chelmsford High Street/City Centre
Bond Street
As this is a walking tour we recommend attendees wear comfortable walking shoes, are dressed appropriately for the weather conditions on the day and bring drinking water.
There are 10 spaces available for the tour. Registration is therefore recommended. To register for the tour, please email daniel@weareist.com. Registration is not essential and you can turn up on the day at the appointed time but please be aware the tour may be full.
